We cruised on Holland America Line’s Nieuw Amsterdam on a 12-night Mediterranean Empires cruise in the ship’s largest suite – the Pinnacle Suite. Sailing aboard the largest suite on Holland America’s newest and largest trip for twelve nights was certainly a treat.
We stayed for two nights at the Boscolo Venezia in the Carranegio neighborhood of Venice. We found the hotel to be an excellent property — particularly the garden patio villas. We enjoyed the location, and feel that this is a good use of Marriott points considering the high price of hotels in the area.
I recently enjoyed US Airways business class / Envoy Suites from Philadelphia to Venice. Since they’ve started to merge with American Airlines, it is now possible to use your AAdvantage miles to fly on US Airways, and availability is quite good to Europe!
