Well, it’s been an insanely busy week for me, as I got back into the swing of things at work, and in life in general. As such, I didn’t get to write as much as I wanted to, so here is a weekly round-up of some of the goings-ons in the World of travel, points…
When I was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for Labor Day weekend, I had a fantastic three night stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Rio de Janeiro, right in the middle of Copacabana Beach. The rooftop stole the show at this great property.
We stayed for two nights at the Boscolo Venezia in the Carranegio neighborhood of Venice. We found the hotel to be an excellent property — particularly the garden patio villas. We enjoyed the location, and feel that this is a good use of Marriott points considering the high price of hotels in the area.
We spent two days in Venice at the Boscolo Venezia before the cruise, during which we sampled amazing Italian food and wandered the streets and canals of this magical place.
